What a wonderful life!

Where did September go?! Seriously! I feel like it was September 1st and now we are almost in to October. It's just crazy how time flies. DAPPER is becoming bigger and more wonderful than I could have ever imagined! Word has spread and the reviews have been beyond amazing. We have had some of the top advertisers in Dallas, been asked to be the media sponsor of some great events, and continue to create buzz all over Dallas. I feel so very blessed to own a magazine with my husband. Life is just blissful. Our most recent event was creating our DAPPER Den for the grand opening of the Park Place Mercedes Benz dealership in Grapevine. 1500+ people, 4 different restaurants and caterers, chrome models, hand-rolled organic cigars, Bourbon tasting, 1000 swag bags, over 500 cupcakes, 4 different types of musical entertainers (some containing a harp, electric guitar, and an awesome DJ) and three open bars. People will be talking about this event for a while. Our DAPPER Den was a huge success as we provided amazing lounge furniture inside and out, William Rodriguez (our organic cigar roller) and a bar for Angel's Envy bourbon tasting. It was quite the talk of the night. The line was always wrapped around to get a cigar and when the party ended at 9, the cigar roller was out there until 10:40! We had to send some people away or we would have been there until midnight at least. THAT is when you know your event is a success. People raved about the magazine and were so excited about it which just put an even bigger smile on Mike and I's face! Met some great people and solidified our Park Place partnership even further. They are such a high-class dealership/organization and their customer service is unlike anyone else. That is why I LOVE owning a Park Place car!

Meag has entered into 6th grade and made a splash! I just love watching her grow into the most beautiful daughter and her sweet spirit just warms my heart. She has made wonderful new friends, her grades are fabulous, and she is loving it. Her teachers always tell us what a lady and how polite she is. Yep, that's my daughter! :-)

We saw Lion King 3D the other morning and man did it bring back memories! I remember curling up on the couch with Meag ,when we lived in Addison, and watching Lion King over and over and over again. It used to be her favorite movie. We had Simba and Nala stuffed lions, posters, and more. Watching it with her, now that she is 11, brought a tear to my eye. The soundtrack is amazing and it is STILL one of our all time favorite Disney movies.

Life is busy as usual, but we always find time for game night, family movies, and just relaxing. State fair opens today! WOO HOO! Love this time of season.
